Camden Brewery delisted by leading independent retailers
Following Camden Brewery's 'sale' to AB-Inbev recently, a number of the leading independent retailers in the UK have said they will not stock Camden beers.
Camden had raised funding on Crowdcube shortly before the controlling family decided to sell out. Figures on the sale remain shady, but it appears that investors got around a 2X return.
Both Sussex based south Downs Cellars and Favourite Beers have removed the brand from their shelves. This follows Brewdog denouncing Camden in a familiar blast of PR. Brewdog's outlets no longer sell their beers.
It remains to be seen if this is a trend that will grow.
